What is Gundu vadu mango?
Salem Gundu Vadu mangoes are small baby mangoes round in shape and majorly used to prepare pickle from ancient times. It can be prepared along with castor oil or gingelly oil based on the local needs. Vadu mangai will be available once in a year and that too for a very short time as the mangoes will mature quickly and we have to harvest the baby mangoes at early stage.

#5 STEPS FOR MAKING PICKLE:
Wash the mangoes and the vessel for preparing completely and allow it to dry for sometime.
Take out the baby mangoes, chilli powder, powdered mustard, salt & turmeric powder and mix it approximately based on the volume of pickle.
Pour the vessel with Sesame oil (Nallenai) and put the pickle ingredients and mix it completely.
Leave the vessel untouched for 2 weeks except by stirring the pickle mix once or twice in a day.
Your tasty vadu mangai pickle is ready after 2 weeks which should definitely taste good if prepared in a nice manner.
